SOUS CHEF

We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. Our ideal candidate is passionate about their craft and focused on providing our customers with a memorable culinary experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage food costs, kitchen labor, and other department expenses not to exceed budget.

  • Plan, staff, organize, and coordinate the timely preparation of food orders.

  • Support your team in the preparation of all ingredients and food products to recipe standards.

  • Comply with and uphold all required food handling and workplace safety, sanitary, and loss prevention procedures.

  • Maintain preparation and cooking areas in a clean, sanitary, and safe manner.

  • Provide excellent quality and presentation of all food to guests in a timely manner.

  • Comply consistently with standard portion size, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.

  • Organize refrigerators, cooler drawers, ovens, prep, and dry storage areas.

  • Assist in the daily cleaning of the pantry, cooking line, prep kitchen, dish area, stairs, walk-in, and prep area.

  • Support in training, mentoring, and development of kitchen staff members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Culinary degree preferred.

  • Minimum 2+ years culinary experience with positive progression in the industry preferred.

  • High volume food production and catering experience is required.

  • Must have or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler permits.

  • Applicants must meet the legal requirements for employment in the United States.

COMPENSATION:

  • $65,000 - $75,000
